✅ Profile verification on FanScort

An online profile contains information provided by its user. Verification mechanisms add additional signals that help visitors understand the level of checking associated with an account.

FanScort uses several complementary levels instead of one generic verification badge. Photo, video and identity verification do not verify exactly the same thing.

V1 uses a specific photograph requested from the user. Its purpose is to strengthen the link between the person controlling the account and the person appearing in the profile images.

The verification photograph is reviewed before approval and may also be subject to automated checks designed to identify situations requiring additional review.

An approved V1 verification may be represented by a visible indicator on the profile.

V2 uses a video submitted by the user. It provides an additional signal beyond photo verification by allowing video content associated with the profile to be reviewed.

The video must be approved before the corresponding verification level can be displayed publicly.

If publication is disabled or approval is withdrawn, the corresponding indicator is no longer presented as an active public verification.

V3 corresponds to the identity verification level offered by FanScort when available.

This process may use a specialised service to check identity-related information beyond simple photo or video verification.

V3 therefore provides a different signal from V1 and V2, but it should never be interpreted as an absolute guarantee of a user’s future behaviour.

A badge means that a specific FanScort verification procedure has been successfully completed for the profile concerned.

The levels must be distinguished: photo verification confirms the photo procedure, while video or identity verification corresponds to different checks.

A verification is not automatically approved simply because a file has been submitted.

Depending on the level, a submission may be approved, rejected, reviewed further or later lose its public status if the required conditions are no longer met.

Some verification levels can have a publication status separating internal approval from the public display of the verification.

A verification can therefore exist in the system without necessarily being shown publicly as an active indicator.

Material used for verification should not be confused with information normally displayed on the public profile.

Only public-facing indicators are displayed when approval and publication requirements are met. Personal data processing remains governed by FanScort’s privacy policy.

A verification only confirms the result of the specific check associated with that verification level.

It does not guarantee that every profile statement is correct, that a person will behave appropriately or that an offline meeting will be risk-free.

Normal precautions still apply when interacting with someone first met online: protect personal information, remain cautious about unusual requests and report concerning behaviour.

Blocking and reporting tools remain available even when a profile has one or more approved verifications.
